A day at the ZOO!!!!

We took Brody to his neurosurgeon last week in Fort Worth and hoped to make a trip by the zoo but it was too cold. I cannot tell you how bummed I was. I had been looking forward to the zoo trip and getting out of this dang house for weeeeks. The forecast for today was great so Bret and "Aunt Banan" took the day off and we headed to the Dallas Zoo (which by the way for you locals has come a long way in the past few years- very nice)! Luckily it wasn't busy and the people who were there kept their "Ooohs" and "Ahhhs" at a distance. I was afraid we would be the main attraction the whole day but it wasn't bad at all!
Here's Bret pushing the stroller as we entered!
Mommy and Baxlyn
The girls couldn't care less about the cute as can be penguins right next to them.
Mommy and Brody with the elephants.

My Monkey (with his new found facial expression) with the monkey!
Sweet B!
Brody's FAVORITE part - the chickens and sheep! He LOVED them so much. The zoo has a small children's area where the kids can get really close and Brody could have stood here all day. Each time we took him away from the gate he SCREAMED! (check out the chicken in the background standing on the sheep - too funny!)

Hardest part about the outing? - lack of adults. We quickly learned it would have been nice to have one adult per baby making it easier to let them all see things at the same time. We managed and juggled babies back and forth so everyone had a chance to look!
Daddy, Kylee & Brody lookin at the fish!
Baxlyn would have been in the water with them in a heartbeat. This girl is a fish out of water!
Korbin & the ducks
Baxlyn riding the turtle (and Anna "hiding" behind it!)

Another one of Korbin's gummy new faces.... this kids a ham lately :]
This one could be one of the cutest pictures ever... little B and the big elephant!
Kylee and the frog Baxlyn.... looking for her prince?!?
Anna and the girls!
We had so much fun and I will totally be taking the babies back again before this Texas heat really kicks in. RSV lockdown is almost over (WAHHHHOOOO!!!!) and we can finally get back to our normal lives... ok our new normal lives I guess that is!

Just to hold you over...

Yes yes yes - we are still here and doing well! I rarely go that long without posting a blog and some of you are having serious withdrawals - IM SORRY! I thought I'd get straight to the good stuff (pictures of course) to hold you over until I can get a "real" post up!

Sweet sweet Kylee swingin' for the first time!
One of many attempts at a family picture...
Miss B

Brody, unsure whether or not he really wants his cupcake...

If this one doesn't melt your heart...
Then SURELY this one will...

Stay tuned, lots to come!!!!!!

Go Kylee Go!!!

Well it looks like we officially have FOUR mobile babies!!! After lots and lots and lots (and lots) of practice little Miss Kylee is scoochin' along! Again, doesn't seem like such a big deal to some, but for others this is a huge celebration and reminder of how far this sweet baby girl has come!

Go Kylee Go!!! Love You Baby - Muah!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

I thought it would be nice for you to get your "quad fix" today by pulling up the blog and finding a sweet picture of the babies in their matching outfits with beautiful smiles and angelic behavior. I'll start by saying that isn't at all what you will find, not today.

It has been a while since I have tried to take a group picture of them by myself. I dressed them, took time to gather Baxlyn's 9 hairs into a little ponytail, grabbed my camera and proceeded to sit them up in a line on the couch like I always have before... clearly they weren't interested in taking a group picture...

(you may notice Kylee only has one ponytail in these pics. She is able to reach up with her right hand, pull out, and eat her other one so this may be her new look until she learns that's a "no-no")

I knew I had to "contain" them somehow if this group picture thing was gonna work, soooo my idea??? Put them all in one crib!

This first shot gave me hope, all I had to do was get Baxlyn to stand next to Kylee and look at me...

Of course that didn't happen. It wasn't a minute later and you would have thought I had caged 4 wild animals...

There was bow stealing...

...nose smashing...

...snot flinging... good fun goin' on in there!

Clearly, the crib was NOT the way to go, so I carried them one by one back out to the living room for my next idea - GRADUATES PUFFS!
I knew this would be a long shot, but I was desperate, so I stood them all up at the couch and threw out the fruit puffs like chicken feed across the couch and let em' go at it...
Thought this was a cute one from the back. BTW are my babies the only ones who get diaper wedgies???
Despite my obnoxious animal noises (that I would never do in public) I couldn't get them all to look at the camera at the same time...
every once in a while I would loose one...
Then all of a sudden TA-DAH! they all looked!! Not one smile, but all 8 eyes looked at the same time, what more could I ask for!!!!
After 92 pics, I finally had one I was "OK" with. I set them all down on the floor and they managed to give me one more group pic - the boys even threw in a smile :)

Needless to say our photo shoot wore them out and they are all sleeping like rocks now! Hope you all have a great St. Patrick's Day!
